Membership Standard

Primary members: veterans with honorable service who want renewed mission, community purpose, teamwork, and accountability.

Associate pathways: community supporters, ROTC students, service academy candidates, and future-service prospects may participate through approved volunteer roles. Minors require parent/guardian and school/program safeguards.

Not a recruiting office: VVA can mentor and serve. It does not enlist people, promise benefits, or represent the military.

How Requests Are Reviewed

  1. Scope the request and confirm the real community need.
  2. Check safety, insurance, permissions, and partner responsibility.
  3. Assign a mission lead and volunteer roles.
  4. Track hours, supplies, outcomes, and follow-up needs.
  5. Report the results back to the board and community.
